#TOAST DVD CHAPTERS FOR MAC#
It's a DVD and CD burner for Mac and PC in one - complete with banking-level encryption. Toast is the easiest and fastest way to burn your digital media.
#TOAST DVD CHAPTERS MOVIE#
It should be okay with h.264 and QuickTime movie files. Maybe it isn't working right with SD MPEG 2, either. But I wouldn't expect it to be more than a couple seconds. I would expect some slippage when using MPEG 2 video because the markers can only be at key frames rather than reference frames. This also probably is different depending on the format of the source video.
#TOAST DVD CHAPTERS MANUAL#
I don't know about the slippage of the manual edit points. If there are none then Toast adds them in time intervals unless manually selected. You should see the chapters displayed in the chapter marking window when automatic is selected. Since Toast's editor only marks places that Toast is to leave out of the encoding I doubt if those are automatic chapter points. If an MPEG 2 video has been trimmed using MPEG Streamclip or EyeTV's editor then the breaks at the edit points are automatic chapters. If the video has chapter markers placed in iMovie then automatic recognizes them.

I don't know the format of your source video so I'm not sure if automatic will match the edit points. So if a TS Supervisor sees this, please address this problem as soon as possible.Īlso the editing process is extremely slow - the cursor action on the playhead needs to increase so you can scrub with audio and not have to drag the playhead. NOTE: I tried to submit this in a "Bug Report" but the page hung - so I don't know if tech support saw this or not. Would the "automatic" setting "sense" the breaks and add chapters or is it still "crapshoot?"

Time difference increased from about 8-10 seconds to two minutes or more. Others have mentioned this in the Toast 11 Pro Forum and I too painstakingly created chapters in a two hour video at the point where commercials were removed and the program begins again (in black).
